The Gathering Experience

What makes a Luck & Cinder gathering feel different

Private events here are not just booked rooms. They are composed evenings built around the table, the menu, and the quiet rituals of offline play.

Communal Dining

Our long tables are set for shared plates and easy conversation, with a seasonal menu that encourages passing and tasting. The table settings feel tactile and print-inspired: unbleached linen, ceramic plates with hand-stamped details, and botanical prints that echo the room around you. The menu changes regularly, so each gathering can be matched to the best produce and the mood of the season.

Offline Poker Rituals

For groups that love the game, we set aside dedicated poker tables where the focus is on the cards, the chips, and the friendly banter. Texas Hold'em is the primary format, played offline with a dealer who keeps the evening moving. A buy-in here refers only to a chips-only table allocation for your group, never to money, wagering, or prizes. The result is a relaxed, social game that feels like a private card-room ritual.

Relaxed High Roller Feel

The room carries a quiet confidence—warm lighting, unbleached paper textures, and the soft clink of chips—making every guest feel like a regular. There is no pressure to perform, no high-stakes tension. Instead, the atmosphere is collected and unhurried, like a beautifully printed catalogue come to life. It is the kind of setting where conversation lingers and the evening seems to slow down.

Gathering Formats

Ways to gather at Luck & Cinder

Each format can be shaped around your group size, occasion, and how much time you want at the table versus the card room.

Long-Table Dinners

Perfect for birthdays, reunions, or corporate gatherings, our long-table dinners seat up to 24 guests for a shared seasonal feast. Service is family-style, with platters placed down the centre of the table so everyone can reach, pass, and taste. The room is set with botanical prints and warm paper textures, giving the evening a collected, editorial feel.

Poker Nights

For groups of 8 to 16, we can arrange a dedicated poker table with a dealer, focusing on Texas Hold'em and friendly competition. Chips are provided for table allocation only, so the game stays social and relaxed. The card room is set aside for your group, with felt-topped tables and comfortable chairs that make a longer session feel easy.

Combined Dining & Poker

Start with a relaxed dinner, then move to the card room for a tournament-style session. This is our most popular format for celebrations. The transition is unhurried: guests finish their plates, the table is cleared, and the group moves next door without losing the rhythm of the evening. It gives you the best of both sides of Luck & Cinder.

Custom Experiences

We can tailor the evening to your group—whether you want a private room, a specific menu, or a mix of activities. Maybe you want a shorter dinner and a longer poker session, or a seated dessert course after the cards. Tell us what you have in mind, and we will shape the details around it. Enquire early so we can build the right flow for your occasion.

The Venue

Spaces made for shared evenings

Two distinct rooms give your gathering room to breathe—one for the table, one for the cards.

The Dining Room

A warm, paper-textured space with long wooden tables, botanical prints, and soft lighting—designed for lingering over shared plates. The room seats up to 24 guests for private dining, with enough space between tables for easy movement and conversation. It feels like a printed plate come to life: muted greens, warm terracotta, and the gentle texture of unbleached paper on every surface.

The Card Room

A dedicated room with felt-topped tables, comfortable chairs, and a quiet, focused atmosphere that still feels relaxed. The lighting is soft and warm, with a green-shaded pendant above the table and botanical line drawings on the walls. The room can be reserved for private groups, giving your poker night a sense of occasion without any casino clamour.
